The “Sigma for TVET” Initiative is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at empowering technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Ghana. The initiative is a collaboration between Platinum Impex Limited, operating under the brand Sigma Appliances and Ghana TVET Service.

The “Sigma for TVET” program represents a significant long-term commitment from Sigma Appliances to invest in the nation’s technical and vocational education and training sector. The initiative is structured around three core pillars: upgrading TVET infrastructure, enhancing instructor capabilities, and creating direct job opportunities for graduates.

The program will see the establishment of state-of-the-art “Sigma Tech-Ready Labs” within selected TVET institutions, fitted with a full range of modern appliances and diagnostic tools. This will be complemented by a rigorous “Train-the-Trainer” program to upskill instructors in the latest technologies. A key component of the initiative is the Sigma Apprenticeship and Job Placement Pathway, which will provide top-performing graduates with hands-on experience and direct employment opportunities within Sigma’s network.

From January 2026, for every Sigma Appliance purchased, consumers will be donating towards the “Sigma for TVET” initiative. Through this initiative, Sigma aims to contribute to Ghana’s economic development by creating a skilled and sustainable workforce.
